Keep your kitchen tools in top condition, or bring them back from the dead with my mobile sharpening service. With 25 years of kitchen experience, using a knife daily, I know the value of having a sharp knife. Usually, once a knife has lost its edge, it needs some serious care or intervention to bring it back to its full potential, and that’s a service I am always happy to offer. Getting your knives back to a sharpened state will bring better performance, precision, and enjoyment back to cooking.
I am happy to come to any business or home in the Auckland area, where I connect to your power and sharpen from the back of my Landcruiser. I use the same high-performance linisher that I make knives with, to sharpen on. Comfortable sharpening all manner of knives and steels, and can also perform light repairs to chips and broken tips on the spot, or provide a quote for a more significate restoration or repair. Eftpos and cash payments are preferred.

Small Kitchen knife … $6
Mandolin Blade … $6
Whetstone sharpening … $25 per knife.
*Minimum call-out value of $60 required due to travel costs. Happy for you to arrange for a few neighbours to bring knives along, or the kitchen brigade to get a few knives sharpened each, for example.
*Sharpening at Grey Lynn Farro on the 1st Saturday of every month.
